Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a health care discipline which emphasizes the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.
The origin of Chiropractic began September 18, 1895 in Davenport, Iowa. A janitor by the name of Harvey Lillard had been partially deaf for 17 years. Mr. Lillard had felt something give-way in his back while bending over. He lost his hearing that very moment. Mr. Lillard discussed his problem with Daniel David (D.D.) Palmer, the developer of Chiropractic. It was then that D.D. reasoned that realigning the spine may help restore Harvey's hearing. His hearing returned as soon as D.D. Palmer performed a specific chiropractic adjustment to Harvey. This was the birth of Chiropractic, one of the greatest healing professions. Since the day of that first chiropractic adjustment, the chiropractic profession has helped millions of people become healthier.
Doctors of Chiropractic are the only health care specialists trained and certified to detect and correct Vertebral Subluxations in the spinal column with specific spinal adjustments
Subluxation
There are three components in subluxation:

1. Joint Misalignment
Spinal distortion can be caused from out side trauma, toxin and stress.

2. Pinched Nerve
When the spine becomes distorted or misaligned, the contents of the spinal
canal are compressed, twisted, and stretched.

3. Nerve Dysfunction
This action damages sensitive nerve fibers and interferes with their function of
carrying impulses between the brain and the body.
When these three things happen, it involves physiological and pathological conditions.
